About Us/Business description: Warwick’s was founded by W.T. Warwick in 1896 as a paper goods shop in Minnesota, selling books, writing paper, and writing instruments. Upon relocating to California in the mid-1930s, Warwick re-established his store in downtown La Jolla. Now, after over 110 years and four generations of family ownership, Warwick’s is bigger and better than ever and has established itself as San Diego’s preeminent independent bookstore. Never straying far from our roots, we offer a large office supply section with paper goods, pens, and everything else, as well as a custom stationery department, handmade gifts and jewelry, and, of course, lots of books.
